Fuel injection pump is an important part of fuel supply system of diesel engine, and its working condition directly affects the power, economy and reliability of diesel engine. Therefore, the correct maintenance of fuel injection pump is an important part of ensuring the normal operation of diesel engine.

First, to use standard high-pressure tubing.

Generator fuel injection pump in the oil supply process, due to the compressibility of diesel, the elasticity of high-pressure oil pipe, high-pressure diesel will form pressure fluctuations in the tube, the pressure wave in the tube transfer takes a certain time, in order to ensure that the cylinder oil supply interval Angle is consistent, the oil supply is uniform, the diesel engine works smoothly, the length and diameter of the high-pressure oil pipe are selected after calculation. Therefore, when the high-pressure tubing of a cylinder is damaged, the tubing with standard length and diameter should be replaced. In actual use, due to the lack of standard tubing, use other tubing instead of considering whether the length of the tubing and the diameter of the pipe are the same, so that the length of the tubing and the diameter of the pipe are very different, although it can be used in an emergency, but it will lead to changes in the oil supply Angle and the amount of oil supply of the cylinder in advance, resulting in uneven work of the whole machine, so in use must use standard high-pressure tubing.

2. Ensure the cleanliness of diesel oil
In general, due to the characteristics of the diesel fuel supply system and the formation of the combustible mixture, it is determined that the filtration requirements of the diesel engine are far higher than the requirements of the gasoline engine, so it is necessary to choose the diesel that meets the requirements, and at least after 48h precipitation.

3. Ensure the quality of oil

Before starting the diesel engine, the quantity and quality of the oil in the injection pump should be checked (except for the injection pump that is forced to be lubricated by the engine) to ensure that the quantity of oil is sufficient and the quality is good. If the oil deteriorates due to mixed water or diesel oil, it will cause early wear of the plunger pair and the oil outlet valve, resulting in insufficient power of the diesel engine and difficulty in starting; It will cause the corrosion of the plunger pair and the oil valve pair. Due to internal leakage of the oil pump, poor operation of the oil outlet valve, wear of the tappet and shell of the oil pump, damage of the seal ring, etc., diesel oil will leak into the oil pool and dilute the oil, so it should be replaced in time according to the quality of the oil. When replacing the oil pool, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the oil mud and other impurities at the bottom of the oil pool. The amount of oil should be appropriate, too much fuel in the governor, easy to lead to the diesel engine "flying", too little fuel will make poor lubrication, should be based on the oil ruler or oil plane screw.

Iv. Regularly check the oil supply advance Angle and oil supply interval Angle

In use, due to the loosening of the coupling bolt, the wear of the camshaft and the roller body parts, often lead to changes in the oil supply advance Angle and the oil supply interval Angle of each cylinder, so that the diesel combustion is worse, the power and economy of the diesel engine is worse, and it is difficult to start, the operation is unstable, the abnormal sound and overheating.

5. Check the oil supply of each cylinder regularly

Due to the wear of the plunger coupling and the oil valve coupling, the internal leakage of diesel oil will reduce or uneven the oil supply of each cylinder, resulting in difficulties in starting the diesel engine, insufficient power, increased fuel consumption, and unstable operation. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check and adjust the oil supply of each cylinder of the injection pump to ensure the power of the diesel engine.

6. Check the sealing condition of the oil valve regularly
After the injection pump works for a period of time, the wear of the plunger and the working condition of the oil pump can be roughly judged by checking the seal of the oil valve, which is conducive to determining the repair and maintenance methods. During the inspection, unscrew the high-pressure tubing joints of each cylinder and pump oil with the hand pump of the oil delivery pump.

Seven, to regularly check the wear of the relevant keyway and fixing bolts.

Related keyways and bolts mainly refer to camshaft keyways, coupling flange keyways (oil pumps that transfer power with coupling), semi-circular keys and coupling fixing bolts. The keyway, flange keyway and semi-circular key of the camshaft of fuel injection pump are worn for a long time, which makes the keyway wider, the semi-circular key is not installed properly, and the oil supply advance Angle is changed. Heavy keys roll, resulting in power transmission failure, so regular inspection, timely repair or replacement of worn parts.
